Your August Allotment

This season, enjoy Atmospheric Saison-Brett Noir and Wild Queen foeder-aged table beer. A perfect pair of brooding and breezy.

Atmospheric Saison-Brett Noir: brewed with the finest floor-malted Mecca Grade and Bavarian malts, this mixed-fermentation black saison was gently aged a year and a half on local 2nd use white nectarines, then bottle-conditioned, adding complexity and focus to an umbrous elixir of dreamy complexity.

Wild Queen foeder-aged table beer: brewed with FORAGER, our own unique wild yeast gathered from our meadow’s busy hives, this innovative saison-style sipper is brewed into a large oak foeder with the finest floor-malted & local Oregon malt and fragrant noble hops. Blooming with floral, spicy, abundant aromas, this light yet satisfying table beer, ideally shared over a meal, offers a flower-filled field of possibility in every pour.

Q1 allotment

This first allotment brings with it Barn Straightener, our big bold Belgian Imperial Stout aged on hazelnuts. It’s a sultry beauty with a brooding, sophisticated character. It also includes our beloved oak-aged kellerbier, Neuberg—an homage to our hometown inspired by the world abroad. It’s a crisp, balanced lager with an enchanting finish.

Here’s the skinny from the labels:

Once upon a time there was a man named Steele, withered, wise, strong as his name. He came to our century-old storehouse, listing to the East, leaning into the wrack. But time and tectonics were no match: brandishing the cables and come-alongs he’d leveraged on many a warped post and weary beam—one heave-ho and hair’s breadth at a time, he hoisted true the tilting grange. This profoundly deep and smooth stout is our ode: to the barn straightener! Enjoy!

___

Neuberg is a traditional unfiltered kellerbier brewed with German malts, hops, & yeast in homage both to our home and Neuberg an der Donau, the ancient Bavarian borough. Fermented slowly in a large oak foeder before extended cold conditioning for smooth & balanced character.
